The Patient Handling Bed Ladder Strap is a strong band of webbing with four equidistant handholds along its length, designed to assist patients in sitting up independently. It serves as a safe and cost-effective alternative to monkey bars. The strap is crafted with loops attached to the main webbing using rectangular and diagonal stitching, with all ends sewn under to provide a smooth and comfortable handling surface.
Attach the strap to the end of the patient's bed by looping it around the bed frame several times before securing it and laying it along the length of the bed within reach of the patient and securing it again at the foot end. Alternatively, the strap can be wrapped around one of the bed legs and positioned slightly diagonally on the bed. The handholds on the strap allow the patient to assist in transferring from a supine to a sitting position.
